Nappy Cakes!

My name is Rebecca Jatta and one of my hobbies is making gorgeous gifts to celebrate the arrival of newborn babies.

I stumbled across the idea of nappy cakes on the internet about 4 years ago. Nappy cakes (or diaper cakes) are a very American idea which has boomed over here in the UK over the last few years. Originally I made a few nappy cakes for friends and work colleagues as gifts. Word spread about my nappy cake making hobby and more people requested my 'cake making' expertise.

I spend many hours sourcing quality supplies to create some wonderful centre pieces fitting the arrival of such special little souls! I am contemplating the design of a dedicated website and as soon as the idea is clear in my mind, will get to work! I'll keep you posted regarding my progress....

This was one of the first nappy cakes I ever made.

This teddy bear themed bundle was jam-packed full of goodies. It included the following:

Matching bath & hand towels and flannel.

Pretty in pink theme, 2 tier nappy cake.

Boys 3 Tier Nappy Cake

This 3 tier nappy cake contained some truly gorgeous goodies! The bottom layer consisted of a reversible blanket - blue fleece on one side and cotton safari animals print on the reverse. Gift wrapped in blue net and finished off with blue ribbons, this made a stunning gift!

Neutral 2 Tier Nappy Cake

This 2 tier nappy cake in neutral tones made a delightful gift for mother and baby.

Contents include:

1 x baby bottle
1 x dummy
2 x flannels
25 x disposable nappies (approx)

This baby bundle was gift wrapped in shades of cream netting and finished with a big bow.

Luxury Neutral Baby Bundle

I made this 2 tier baby bundle for a work colleague who was expecting twins.

This bundle consisted of the following:

2 x comfort toys
2 x weening spoons
2 x sleepsuits
2 x dummies
2 x onesie vests
10 x disposable nappies (approx)


The best thing about nappy cakes is that they are so practical. This cake alone provides vital bedding for baby, towels for bath time, snuggly comforters, cute sleep wear and of course nappies!

Luxury Boy's Baby Bundle

I made this baby bundle for a work colleague who was organising a bayshower for a friend.

This gorgeous 3 tier nappy cake consisted of the following goodies:

I have been making nappy cakes for friends and family for a number of years now and have found great satisfaction in creating these gorgeous gift bundles.

All the nappy cakes I make are colour co-ordinated, made to order and suit any budget. I am offering free delivery within Harrogate and will make deliveries to the maternity ward at Harrogate Hospital.
